Any tips for starting a baby-sitting business?
My friend and I would like to start babysitting for cash. We want to start a mini business where we send out flyers to people we know ONLY. Then go to the house and baby sit and split the money.
How much should we charge? Any other tips that worked when you were starting to babysit?
Answer:
take a CPR and first aid class offered by the local Red Cross or call your local hospital about classes. This is a nice plus when you advertise that you are trained in first aid and CPR.

Posted your ad and ask them how much they are willing to pay. If you happy with the kids and the pay, you and your friend should settle.
well it depends how small you want to have your babysitting business. if you want to babysit for BIG cash then you normally have to go to school, and there you spend a year getting the certificate that says you are qualified. But you said that you wanted to babysit for people that you know, then I would say $10.00 an hour would be good. if people like your work then raise up to $13.00. Do not go over $15.00 an hour, that just makes people think you ARE doing this for money. if they think that you are doing this only for money, then they might not trust you with their children. also when babysitting more than 3 children it’s always helpful to have another person to help, since the kids can get out of control.
